Port Dickson
"PD (synonymous with sun and fun) has long been a weekend retreat for many inland dwellers, especially those from the city seeking temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of a hectic and stressful life" - Travelers says about PD

Saya yakin ramai yang dah tahu pasal PD kan.... setiap hujung minggu memang pasti ramai yang akan ke sana...(tapi bila teringat bulan bulan puasa yang lalu ...kelihatan memang kurang sikit orang pegi PD, nah amik ko masuk raya saja, la…ghamai la pulak....). Sesak la jalan kat PD tu, khususnya yang menuju ke pantai, terutama sekali hujung minggu, apatah lagi di waktu cuti perayaan. Perjalanan pendek jadi lama bro...
Haluan Ke Port Dickson
Masuk jer lebuhraya PLUS… sampai persimpangan keluar Port Dickson (kek Nogori Sembilan yo….kek tompek lain tak do)… tengok jer la signboard tu….. pas tu masuk highway
ke Port Dickson…. Tol RM3.20 jer… senang, jalan terus …tak der la belok-belok macam jalan lama…. Tapi bang, baik-baik bawak kereta kat highway tu… sebab tu ari nasib baik saya tak terlanggar segerombolan anjing liar yang berdendang kat tongah lebuh raya tu….. fuh….nasib baik selamat.

Lagi Mengenai Port Dickson

Port Dickson, or fondly known as PD, is the pride of Negeri Sembilan. This state is well-known for its unique matrilineal system of Adat Pepatih, which is distinctly reflected in the states architecture of upswept roofs.
Port Dickson has an almost unbroken coastline stretching up to 18 km. Its sunny beaches, line by tall palm tree and shady casuarinas, are washed by the gentle waves of the Straits of Malacca. Teluk Kemang and the Blue Lagoon beaches are popular tourist spots here.

Port Dickson holds the distinction of being the first place where competitive sailing was introduced in the country. The Admiral Marina and Leisure Club offers excellent and comprehensive facilities for yachters including moorage, full club services, brokerage and boat repairs. The Royal Port Dickson Yacht Club has extensive facilities for members and is able to accommodate Optimist and Laser crafts.

TOURIST TIPS
- It is not surprising then as Teluk Kemang is quite touristy and has better facilities as compare to the other beaches. Apart from the usual eateries and changing/shower roam commonly found in most beaches, PD's town square with a Tourist Information Centre and open air stage are also located here. For accommodations, there are plenty of hotels and chalets in Teluk Kemang vicinity - some of them are just walking distance to the beach.

- Apart from swimming at the sea, beach goers can enjoy the banana boat
ride or canoeing. For more
adventurous stuff, you can try the jet-ski rides, water- skiing and para sailing. If you want to venture further,
you can hire speedboat to go to other nearby beaches and small islands along the coastline of PD. Unfortunately the sea here is not really suitable for snorkeling.

- For children (and parents who want to keep their kids away from the beach), they can always enjoy either the horse, bicycle or miniature 4WD rides at the square.

- The Blue Lagoon is tucked away from the main road and far from the crowds. This beach hideaway is naturally shaped like a crescent, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding greenery and the Straits of Melaka from here. During low tide, it is possible to stroll out on its fine sand for about 200 meters towards the receding blue sea. As it is a quiet and secluded spot, it is a favorite haunt for those seeking peace and calm, ideal for long walks and restful picnics. The lagoon is favored for swimming, boating, wind surfing and water skiing. Close to its vicinity is the historical Tanjung Tuan lighthouse and the Royal Rest House of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan (the Ruler of Negeri Sembilan). During the migratory season, it is possible to watch flights of migratory sea birds wheeling along the shore here in Blue Lagoon.

- Pantai Cermin is located close to the Blue Lagoon but at the other side of the cape. As compare to the Blue Lagoon, Pantai Cermin is not that beautiful, more so as it is located in a mangrove area. However, the quiet beach should be just nice for a relaxing picnic or barbecue with friends and family.

- The Masjid (Mosque) Teluk Kemang is located on top of a hill in Teluk Kemang and looks stunning from a far. It is the biggest and most beautiful mosque in PD it seems. Architectural wise, its looks different from other mosques commonly found here in the country. Nevertheless, it still has the minaret and dome on its roof, both beautifully decorated with colored tiles.

- The Wan Loong Temple is located along PD's coastal road. Literally means "Dragon in the Sky", the temple is no doubt the bigest and most beautiful temple in PD. Looking stunning from the top of a hill, the "Great Wall" like retaining wall circling the temple and its location give it an impression of a secluded private premise that is not open to the outside world.
